TOWNSEND VISITORS CENTER
The Townsend Visitors Center is a library of knowledge for Townsend, Cades Cove, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and particularly the Local Area. Here you will find books dealing with hiking and hiking trails, buildings of the area, local history from the earliest of settlements, wild life, flowers and fauna, how moonshine was make and to how to make molasses if it is your desire.
Maps of the area and the Smokies are available of which many are free of charge.
